Prime responsibilities of the ICT Consultant:
- Act as subject matter expert in support of 1st & 2nd line support staff remediating complex ICT issues in corporate environments
- Analyse, design, install, implement, integrate, migrate and operate at corporate level all aspects of modern ICT
- Engage with hardware-, software- and service-vendors for engineering-level issue remediation
- Be a trusted technical advisor in paving the way for ICT modernization for end-customers
- Communicate with ICT-specialists and director-level customer contacts in a structured and comprehensive way, both verbal, written and during presentations
- Actively participate in project meetings, contingency control communication, post-mortem analysis activities and management update meetings
- Constantly be on the look-out for potential issues, risks, improvements and cost-savings
- Be available on-the-fly to intervene on-site in case of critical issues impacting customer production/productivity
- Facilitate constant learning for both yourself and your co-workers
Job requirements:
- Be a subject matter expert, proven by experience and certifications in one or more of the following areas:
o Server operating systems (Windows, Linux, …)
o Client computing
o Storage (DAS, SAN, NAS, Cloud, hybrid cloud, iSCSI, Fibre, …)
o Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, RedHat, VDI, …)
o Networking (LAN, WAN, IPv4, Ipv6, routers, firewall, switching, …)
o Unified communication
o Mobility solutions
o Security
o Backup/Restore/Archiving
o Paas, Saas, Iaas
o Compliance
o …
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French and English
